Leg One Results

The first leg of the BluQube Solo 1000, from Falmouth to Kinsale, was pretty quick.  Dinah finished third in Class Two and second in IRC.   Full results are here.

Dinah On Tour

The time has come. Dinah is ready to race. The first big adventure is about to begin. Dinah is currently in Dun Laoighre provisioned and ready to head to the UK for her first races. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday 26th June – Delivery – crossing to the UK. expected arrival Falmouth Friday night.

Sunday 29th – Race – Falmouth to Kinsale. Expected finish lunchtime Monday 30th.

Wednesday 2nd July – Race – Kinsale to Santander. Expected finish sometime over the weekend. This leg is an Ostar qualifier.

Wednesday 9th July – Race – Sandander to Camaret. Expected finish Friday pm.

A boat, not a building site

Finally finished. All of the tools have been removed, all of the work has been finished, all of the cushions installed.

Here we can see the control panel:

From left: Adverc battery monitor with Ipod and Screaming Meanie alarm clock below, then the Navylec control switches.

Three 12 volt “cigar lighter” sockets with cabin heater and AIS controller beneath and SeaMe active enhanced radar repeater below, then a Standard Horizon DSC VHF above a Pioneer stereo (there will be music) and fore and aft automatic bilge pump switches.

You can see an Icom hand held VHF radio in its charger and the laptop with SeaPro navigation and chartplotter software. Of course, there is a large collection of paper charts

The aft cushions are in place and all of the tools and materials have been removed.
